This is a cool move to observe, even better to photograph! ;^) Tough lighting situation here. The sun is a little blown out but I don't see much choice without some supplemental lighting to use on the soccer player from this angle. You've stopped the motion pretty well. The more I think about it the more I wish the player was exposed (lit) a little more. How about fill-flash with the EV set to -1.7 or so? Just a thought. Cool pic overall. Good luck in the challenge.

Awesome. If I could make one change though, it would be to play with the contrast so as to make that sky REALLY pop. The grass in the foreground is a little distracting, too, but the image overall is very impressive.
