I liked the first one but now that I see the reshoot I love the reshoot. It is sharper on the edges, flows elegantly, is cleaner and it doesn't have the dark area that I now find distracting. Great job on the reshoot. I have been meaning to that myself on a number of my photos.

Definitely has cleaner lines than the original and that aspect of it is really letting me enjoy the simple curves being shown. The other one was great (as your placing helps show) but I do like this interpretation just a little bit better.

This took a little effort to pull off I'd imagine. ;^) Sharp, well focused image with a easy to understand message. Only question I have is did you consider having the incoming liquid be behind the can? Perhaps that was tricky with getting good DOF...it's just that a little bit of the illusion is lost seeing the entire splash - viewer can tell it's coming from the right this way. Anyway. Very well done overall! Best of luck to you in the challenge.

Very nicely done... giving this a bump. The sharpness of the liquid is great! I guess the only weird thing to me is that the liquid doesn't look like it's coming from the can. It's just kinda mysteriously there. Know what I mean? Still a 9 for me.
