as much as i can appreciate the effort/desire here, the execution isn't quite where it needs to be. you might consider spending some time in the archives looking for the images that really grab you, then spend some time out trying to recreate them. the more you practice, the closer you'll get. as much as anything, you need to work on composition, especially in deciding what to include and what to exclude from your image. check out this image

If this had been a advanced challenge I would suggest removing the for sale sign, its a bit distracting. Perhaps a slightly more level road would have worked better as well.
