Seems a bit soft. Be interesting to see your camera settings. I assume with the D3 (if that's what you were using) that you had the ISO cranked right up.

What comes to mind as I view this shot is the strength of the composition - the tonal quality and the DOF - this could be a text book example of what to do right. The picture to me tells this story - a couple of old friends talking about times gone by - but you know what - to me the central subject is the fountain, even though it is OOF, it is beautiful. Great job. Next time come up with a title will ya? Grin.
