In Flightby ericwooComment by Dermot: Of the images you displayed in the Out and About thread, I think this is the best. The brightly lit building in the center gives the overall image a main feature.
The main rule with night photography is not to shoot when it is totally dark. The best time to take the photos is when there is still a bit of light in the sky at early dawn or late dusk. This helps to add more light and color to your image and bring out shapes in the shadows better. Having said this, most of the images you presented were quite good, though I think with just a bit of dusk lighting, they would have been even better.
