good concept---somehow i'd like to see less sky by cropping some, or moving/zooming closer to the boots, bringing out the strong character they possess

Your picture is a little dark, causes the boots to blend into the scenery. Nice background, the texture rocks. Just brighten the boots a little and you've got a great pic!

Nice sky but I would have liked this shot a lot more if you had used a reflector or something to light up the boots more as IMHO they really blend in with the backround as it is. 6 from me.

The image seems to dark to me - a lot eof the details in the boots are lost in shadows. Nice setup though!

Good idea, but the boots are a bit too dark for me... you might have used fill flash or something, I find the boots distracting rather than being the main subject on the picture.
