Not enough contrast tonally for my liking. I would also like to see further down the pillar. The focus seems a lilttle off too.
Not sure how to improve it (I wasn't there) but the composition isn't right. Your eye just wanders around the (fairly) empty sky. There appears too be some interest lower down, and whilst the off centre composition is a good attempt, i think it might work if the pillars led your eye up to the sculpture. 3.
