I have to admit that I did a mistake, I didn't read the challenge details well enough, the photo obviously doesn't meet the challenge.

This doesn't look like an artificial light source.

you know what? I don't care about the disqualification - you still took a top 3 photo IMHO. Put it in your collection and sell a few, that should make up for being dq'ed. If you continue to get spots on your lens then maybe consider a new lens or opting only for advanced challenges. Thanks for sharing a beautiful shot.

The reason why my photo “Cold mountain” was disqualified is that I removed two small spots (I am told because of dust on the sensor) from the image. These spots have been a problem on my photos lately, but removing them does not change the photos a bit, so I thought I was not doing anything wrong by doing so in this case. It was not my intention to cheat or do something that is not permitted.
It is of course necessary to have rules in competitions like here on DPC, but it is my opinion that rules that disqualify photos on these grounds are not about good photography, but rather a stupid reason to get rid of good photos.
In all my challenges I have tried to do my best to follow the rules and also in this challenge, so I am not reconciled to this conclusion. In fact it did not cross my mind that I was doing something wrong by taking out these two little spots and was very surprised when the photo was disqualified.
Because of this experience I have had and probably many others I would suggest that these rules were changed. It would be nice to have some discussions about this matter.

Returning for comment and bumping up. Composition is good, horizon line is properly placed and straight. Foreground elements add to visual interest; however, shadow detail has been lost. Nice colors in a good dramatic sky. As far as meeting the challenge, I believe it was supposed to include a single source of artificial light so in that regard I don't believe this particular shot meets the challenge as well as some of the other entries. Overall, this is a good shot.
