Solitudeby StructorComment by Dr.Confuser: Well imagined, captured and presented. Sky contrast is pleasing. Not fond of the letterbox framing. |

Solitudeby StructorComment by bmartuch: very desolate looking. I don't really care for the border but very nice overall shot. |

Solitudeby StructorComment by Jutilda: Funny how so many of us did that top bottom frame. This HAS to be Iceland. :~) |

Shooting Snowflakes by StructorComment by justamistere: To answer Ambaker's question.
I guess he used the flash to fill the darkness. There had to be at least starlight for backlighting. The fill flash just overfilled the ambient back lighting. It is a great picture, it only needs to be percieved as fill-flash in some way, by the mojority of voters. |

Shooting Snowflakes by StructorComment by ambaker: Congratulations on the yellow! I was wondering how this image would do in the voting. Strictly speaking, I did not see this as fill flash; as fill flash is normally understood to be a light to fill the shadows where a subject is back-lit.
That being said, I gave you a 9, as it is a very strong image. You definetly captured the feeling of the snowfall. Excellent job all they way around.
I'd love to know how you captured the tracks of the snow, using the flash at 1/200.
