I think I understand what you were trying to go for here, but it didn't really work for me. I would have liked to see a little bit of the eyes or maybe even just a bit more of the face in general.

I think this idea has potential, though I wish there were more light on your face. I think that reversing the lighting of subject and background could work with the same feel the title suggests. If you selectively lit your face (or just a part of it) and left heavy shadows in the background I think that would look good.

Not fond of the concept here. I want to see you, not a bunch of shadows. This could work, and does in other submissions with silhouettes, if the background were interesting or in some way compelling.
