The slant and the soft focus were intentional, hence the title soft light. I tried for a more focused picture and it looked bad. The cord was too sharp taking away from the lamp so I went with soft focus. I think this is one of my better works but I guess most of you didn't like it. Oh well. BTW, thanks for all of the comments.

The horizon is off just a bit. The darkness appears to have washed out the top of the lamp area and also makes the cord lookout of focus. Maybe a lower bulb wattage and longer shutter time. You can rotate your crops to fix the horizon.

I like that one, would work even better if flipped horizontally, to have the begining of lead in the lower left corner (just the way our eyes are trained)

The composition is a little crooked. The soft worked. The line is OK - the switch kinda stopped me from going on.
