I really like this image; it's a testament to the primary importance of technicals to DPC voters that it didn't do better. It does say pure to me, in a way that reflects, well, just pure. Not pure this or that, but just pure (like your saying, "Pure as the driven snow" isn't really about snow). I might have (emphasize might) have dropped the center of the flower a bit lower and to the left, but it's very strong as is. For me, the soft focus emphasizes the point of the image. Is purity always in supposed to be in focus?

How bizarre. This looks like the exact same setup as another pic in this challenge. Alas, the other one is much better. The lack of contrast and focus, and the funky blue tint just don't do it for me. No guess as to what it is.
