This series of six pictures is astonishing. Actually, preposterous, when considered from the summer of 34° South.

The ice structures seem to be living things; some kind of fabled creatures arisen from the story books. But I imagine that it does not seem so whimsical and entertaining when one has to live through this freeze. I will picture you here in shorts and tee shirt, if that helps at all?

can hear the cling..... cling.... cling.... of the clips and the ropes on the hollow aluminium masts blowing in the wind, a strange ringing metallic sound.... id have liked a little more contrast beween the masts and the sky maybe sunset/rise
