The grays could be improved. The grass looks washed out and oversharpened. Wonderful use of the desaturation though. It really brings focus to the old man.

This is a great example of desaturation so I give you high marks for meeting the challenge. I like the overall picture here and if I knew this guy I would hang this on my wall. I think when selecting a photograph to apply the desaturation technique, I would find an area of the picture to enhance the main subject rather than to have the only color in the shot drawing my attention away from the main subject. (just my preference) but nice work all the same.

I really like this shot - it's one of my favorites in the challenge. My only nitpick is that his face looks a little washed out. It might be better with a little burning and sharpening. Still, great job!
