beautiful image. my guess is that this is a great example of being victimized by speed-voting, where a large majority of voters don't take the time to try to connect with the image.

this is also a great example of the artist rendering their vision, vs the artist playing to the masses. i imagine that significant cropping off the left and bottom would have made a full point's difference in the voting, but i also imagine that is not what was intended here.

as is, though, this will fall into the stack of images that will be enjoyed by the lucky few who bother to seek images out--which is too bad for those who chose to fly right by it.

I like the architecture of this shot. The browns and blues work in tandem, to create a lovely rich pallette. All of the lines and crosses are interesting and weave a beautiful image.

This could do without the top half of the picture leaving the focus on the trees in the distance simply framed by the silhoutted leaves. The way it is now the leaves in the foreground demand more attention than they deserve
