Going the Zen wayby jjbeguinComment by Jaded_Housewife: lol. this is like anti-zen. maybe its from living in the south. this says "hurricane" to me. fear, uphevil, tension. even the person alone on the other side of the highway is probably going back for a loved one and not for any happy reason just to end up stuck in the storm in danger. maybe i read too much into things. 5 |

Going the Zen wayby jjbeguinComment by bucket: very clever..and wonderfully done too...it certainly can be considered Zen from the point of view of the driver..
I like your take on this.. |

Going the Zen wayby jjbeguinComment by redmoon: this is a marvellously evocative picture. it's only significant problem worth noting is that to me, it doesn't really fit in with my preconceived idea of what zen is. but as a photo, i love it. the B&W is great, the high contrast and dark mood genius, brilliantly countered by the light breaking through the clouds. the vanishing point and angle of shot works very well. and the solitary vehicle coming towards us is the proverbial cherry. smashing stuff (if bordering on not quite suiting the challenge) 8. |

Going the Zen wayby jjbeguinComment by Dirt_Diver: A little dark but that makes you really look into the image. The sun shinning through the clouds is great but there needs to be a tad more light on the cars and road. Over all this is a very good picture. Gave you a 8 |

Going the Zen wayby jjbeguinComment by Tej: I don't really see this photo as "strict" example of zen "style" of photography but it communicates the "feel" of zen very well :). The contrast between peace and cluttered (mind) is very well communicated. Technically this is very well executed and I like the b/w treatment. Bumping from 7 (initial pass) to 9 (during comments). Hope this does well for you. |
