I can see the 'cheeky' humour in it, but not so sure entering it in a public (not to mention international) contest was the best way to go. Can't help wondering, what if (and it's a long shot, but...) what if she stumbled across this image at some point and recognised the scene and herself in it...... Anyways, love the b&w tones, very nice conversion. [no vote]

Nice selective focus, which works well for the challenge in this case - wonderful b/w contrasts too.

It's amazing that your 350XT is still shuttering away. I shot so much on mine that the shutter mechanism blew. But the fix with Canon cost only $200 to get a new shutter unit installed. Bear that in mind should something happen. In the meantime, I am enjoying this photo. It's a darned nuisance that pBase is down, isn't it. I have a lot of files there and the outlook is rather bleak.

Lighting here is great - and enough ambiguity in the apparent movement to not be sure whether something bad is happening.

The most intriguing part of this image is the person in the foreground. My only problem is there is so much emphasis on the ferris wheel, that she is lost in the shadow. I would have cut the top half off to force viewer eyes to her - I'm assuming she is the missed focus subject of the image...the ferris wheel just demands too much attention. well seen though, and interesting choice. 6

Struggle, beauty, heavenly. Transcendental, dreamy. Maybe even a shark on the bottom right. I can't tell if I am under the water looking up or what. Wonderful.
