that is a magnificent full color silhouette. I like the subtlety of having it against the darker bokeh instead of full-on white. A little subtlety in the palette as well. The subtlety allows me to accept the sentiment.

I'm guessing in colour this is a very bright bird (brain and body) but B&W really works and the shallow DoF accentuates the fine feathers. For me, the grey bit above the beak looks a little 'off' but the reat of the image more than makes up for that :)

Beautiful. I love how the plant and flowers frame the right side and bottom of the image for us, with beguiling curves and textures, and even a bit of back-lighting. The bee is surrounded by bokeh but manages not to interfere with our enjoyment of it.

Your title perfectly describes the feeling one gets from this parrot, who looks more prayerful than most humans so engaged. Beautiful depth of field and detail around the head, masterful tonal control throughout, serenity, nobility and benevolence. I'm quite willing to ascribe such character to her or him. The first thing this reminded me of, and in part it is because I noticed who took it, is a hood ornament from days gone buy. A hood ornament, personified. And now I see I am not the only one as I just glimpsed other comments!
