Obsolete, it is indeed. But the composition is too compressed. I'll bet if you did it more square, and had the lines of the record forming a semicircle on one side,, it would have presented better.

This photo does not appeal to me. Firstly, I am not a fan of this sort of set piece. The photo is noisey for no apparent reason. The colors appear over saturated. Focus is too soft. And the subject and composition don't rescue it for me.

Don't dismay. I have submitted photos like this in previous challenges. Live and learn.

Could have saved this one for the circle challenge! I hear some people are afraid of all he record and cd picture that will be in there. The picture itself seems to have nice feel with the noise. Makes it look old and used.

Lines, yes, but "leading"? Not really. The lines ARE the subject, as it were, and they don't actually "take" us anywhere. The lighting seems rather pedestrian, also, and the pure black BG is adding nothing of interest for me.

Buzzmom, i gave a 4. I felt that you could have gotten the model to suck a little of the spit off thier teeth before taking the picture. As other comments have stated, its a little difficult to look at and appriciate. The contrast is good, the actual braces could probably have been sharper.
If this was my picture, i would have rotated it so that the braces formed a fairly straight line across the picture, rather than sloping down wards - it is amazing what a differents a coulpe of degrees of rotation can give you.

There were a lot of shots of vinyl. But they all tried to make the record look 'good.' This one has character and the record looks old, aged, and worn out. I like the perspective and that the shot is only a portion of the whole. Nice shot!
