Very dreamy wide look... I'm not too sure i'm a fan of the horse in the background it's a little distracting but that a minor issue its a wonderful image.

Interesting POV. Very crisp. Like the composition. My only critique is the greens of the grass look a bit "flat" to me. Otherwise nice interesting shot.

This is from Bear_Music

The hill/s on the right seem "wrong", as if they are not vertically oriented within the scene. So when the eye reads this scene, it is reading it as "leaning" and it is not comfortable. It appears to be an example of "keystoning", like what you get shooting up at a skyscraper except less extreme. The problem is that there's nothing on the left to show the keystone effect on that side, so the end result is the image appears to be leaning that way. But if you rotate it to "level" the hills, then the left side is obviously way off square. This visual anomaly is producing the disconterting tension in the image.

R.

I am sorry I couldn't find out what was bothering me, but i do think it is the hill, to me it is almost as though it is an illusion being pulled into the center of the shot. It is bending . I don't know how to put it into words, so asked around, cos i really wanted to say something useful.

This makes my eye wonder all over the place, not only one part is dramatic, it all is, so its hard to single out one specific point of interest. It really is a great photo.

The right side of the shot is distracting, probably the colors and line angles. I think if the color was absent and the crop was tighter it would be more appealing to the eye. But what do I know, I came in third from last on the FS!!

Juliet asked someone to have a look at this, so I will go through it FWIW - I hope a few others do as well.

I think maybe the crop is a little awkward, and that is what is throwing the sshot out a little. The ccrop given is very square, whereas I think maybe it needed a more landscape crop to it. The two peaks on the right are a little too far to the right, adn there looks litle something is happening on the far left as well. A wider crop would still preserve the great sky here too.

The exposure is great. The range of shades through the sky is a highlight of the shot. from the brights through to the darks, with the black in the foreground of the shot. The green contrasts so well agaist the rest of the naturally almost black and white image. Maybe it is even that the green is a little too far to the right that throws it off a little...........

I love wide visas, and panoramic crops (which are often not liked on this site) so maybe my views won't reflect the widere group, but a more landscape crop would have worked better for me............

HI from the CC Club,

You certainly do seem to be on top of the world here, what a magnificent area. SO serene.

You have everything going on here, the light and dark of the dramatic clouds, the smoothness of the white shown, the path with its leading line.

There is a some grain going on in the sky and snow, but it does tend to lend itself to this shot. I almost feel like it has been oversharpened.

The path, the clouds, the positions of the mountain tops are excellent leading lines that draw your eye towards the back of the photo to give it great depth.

There is something about this shot that just seems a little odd to me and I don't know what it is, so I am going to ask another member to give you a critique as well, as I feel I am missing something.
