Moment in flightby BrinComment by KristinaG: This seagull is in great focus. However, there are two reasons why I cannot give this a good score.
1, the bokeh in the background is actually quite distracting and pulls attention away from the bird.
2, the eye of the seagull is not visible which is very important to me.
If the eye was visible, I might be able to forgive the house. I think this is just one of those examples of a technically very well done photo doing poorly simply based on being captured a second too late and from a slightly bad angle. 4 |

Until death do us partby BrinComment by CNovack: Congrats on the top 10 finish! Loved the composition when I had a chance to take a quick gander through the entries in voting stage. The idea captured made me smile too:-) How true is it with our spouses having to accept or put up with our photography 'creativity/madness':-) One thing that struck me on viewing the thumbnail (and still does) and also in the full view is that you have an interesting 'natural' triangle formation going on here that also adds some nice visual interest. The mural in the backdrop has the top starting point and then the eye travels down to the priest, bride & groom who make up the base of the triangle. Great composition, lighting, mood/feel, and attention to details. Well done. |
