Watching the starsby BrinComment by Brin: Originally posted by giantmike: Wonderful amount of details in this scene. Did you use some light painting techniques to get the rocks so bright? |
No it was full moon this night that lit up the rocks. Thanks for the comment:) |

Watching the starsby BrinComment by MaryO: Gives me a real sense of sitting peacefully on a beach for hours, doing nothing more than watching the slow motion of the stars and listening to the regular sounds of the waves coming and going. So peaceful. |

Autumn eveningby BrinComment by Brin: Originally posted by Luci11e: Greetings From the Critique Club
First Impressions:
beatiful sunset, but what's that thing in the lower left? (as you look at the picture)
Technical (Comp, lighting, color, focus):
Beautiful subject, wonderful focus, great eye for color and a magficent capture; however I think the composition/lighting is off
Challenge:
n/a
Artistic/Emotion:
artisticly, I can see that you were tying to capture the gorgeous curvature of the beach line
emotionally, after I realize the whole scene I'd love to go for a walk on the beach
Summary:
Maybe it was the darkness of the overall shot that kept you from a higher score, maybe it was the beach overpowering the shot; probably a combonation of the two. Overall it's a beautiful scene, however the eye is so drawn away from the sunset that it's hard to know what your supposed to be looking at. |
Thanks a lot Lorie for your good and helpful critique, I think I agree with everything you say.
All the best, Bragi (Brin) |

Autumn eveningby BrinComment by love: I think the area on the lower right is distracting - the rest of the image is dreamy! |

Autumn eveningby BrinComment by FocusPoint: Not bad, however to dark for a photo of this kind? I wonder if you zoom in to that horizon how it would be... hmm... 5 |
