I see You Too!by vtruanComment by neenee1999: Outstanding shot, this is too cute! I like the little boy viewing this in amazement, not sure about the black and white choice on this one , as I am sure the water was probably an outstanding blue which would have been nice to see, but over all this is a fantastic shot, the clarity is good and the water shows up really well, 9 |

Not Aloneby vtruanComment by e301: from the Critique Club
Thing you achieve best of all here is the positioning of the tree within the framing of the shot: it bridges the transition from foreground to distance nicely.
Focus and depth of field and all that technical stuff is pretty well done - though there seems to be a lack of detail: I wonder if it's perhaps cropped slightly too far?
The image suffers most, IMO, from an indecisiveness about what the true subject is: the tree? the peak and the openness of the view? the progression of hills into the distance? If it's the tree, then I think it would need more careful placing against this background (obviously, by moving the photographer, not the tree itself): perhaps at least to exclude the town visible in the valley. There are too many small elements that compete for attention here for this not to suffer in voting in a simplicity challenge.

Parade of Lightsby vtruanComment by Polar7: Unique. How did you do this jagged lighting effect on this vehicle ? Great movement film. Sort of a gangster movie feel. |

I see You Too!by vtruanComment by tfaust: This has great emotive!! It would be a wall hanger for sure for the parent of this little one. A part of me wishes it were in color, but I also like the simplicity of b&w - I really focus on the boy and penguin. Unfortuantely this image seems to be suffering a little from focus issues - but otherwise great composition and lighting. |

I see You Too!by vtruanComment by zeuszen: The inter-species curiosity captured here makes this a very worthwhile shot. The composition is quite satisfying. Lighting could, perhaps, be improved on. Most of all, however, I'd wish for a much crisper focus on Mr. T junior.
Despite this, one of the more stirring images in this challenge, which effects my vote for it. |
