Heaven's Goldby vtruanComment by ccraft: Awesome shot. I really like the DOF here and the fact that the way you composed the image draws you in - the lines really help to move your eye. I like the lighting as well. Good luck! |

Heaven's Goldby vtruanComment by Kavey: Oh I do love shallow DOF when used effectively! Parallel lines are great and I like the way that the column bit at the left anchors the image. Nice colours too. |

Cozy by the ....by vtruanComment by unknowndeath: This question is directed toward you but at a lot of people here as well doesn't anyone know how to use their white balance here and a little something like photo shop or a relative of it half of your images would come out a lot better if you thought about what it should look like before you actually tried shooting it may be digital and you can see it but there are more colors in the rainbow than red, yellow, magenta, blue, green, or my favorite cyan. You didn't adjust your exposure light for either the ambient house lamp or the fire place so you just go a blah red image and destory the beauty of the intergrity of this image possibility. Your composition is off for the image as well as correctly exposing your subject another light pulled back from in front of your baby would have brought out the shadow details. I think if you had come at more of a straight approach to your fire place it would have made the composition of your son a stronger element to the photos whole. |

Moon Peeperby vtruanComment by garlic: Its quite a tool youve got there. Litle underexposed though it gives good contrast between the face and telescope. |

Moon Peeperby vtruanComment by Jarrad: interesting use of light. could possibly have been a bit lighter. The photo is overly effective, but doesn't immediately make me want to see more out-of-frame |
