Desert Cottontailby vtruanComment by scrum8: Well done. Wish I'd thought of this. I had a good rabbit picture but couldn't make it work. Excellent contrast and DOF. |

Desert Cottontailby vtruanComment by Phileine: i'm not sure what to think of this one. I am not sure that the desaturation improves the picture, but i like the idea and the picture itself is nice. |

Narrow Guageby vtruanComment by Count: This is a neat photo! Around here we don't see those old engines around much, other than the museums and parks. Where is this taken? Great job... |

Narrow Guageby vtruanComment by Maverick: Nice subject - if I had time I would've stopped by the East Broad Top (narrow gauge) lines in PA. I'm guessing that this isn't EBT, but as I haven't been there, I don't really know... Compositionally I think this could be a little stronger. Since the primary subject is the steam engine, I would try holding the camera a little lower to the ground, possibly framing the shot with the outer rails on the two tracks. A shallower depth of field might also help put a dramatic emphasis on the engine. Overall a nice shot. |
