WOW! What a beautiful image. The lighting on this is so superior to most of what I've seen so far. It gives a truly 3 dimensional look to the image. The focus is dead on and the DOF is fantastic -- just shallow enough to blur the background, just deep enough to get the flower and its spikey leaves. This will certainly finish among the top 10.

when your talking about quality of light / photographe etc nto many stand out - but this in my terms is great and what i want to see more of! Great use of DOF and superb focusing.

The subject and composition don't really get my vibes going - but then that is quite hard for a flower shot!

Technicaly this is easily a 10.
