Not being a musician, I may be not "getting" it completely. However, the large blown out area and amount not in focus hurts this a lot for me. I like the composition within the frame and regret not being able to see it more clearly.

I can't associte this picture with a night shot. Not saying that it wasn't taken after the sun went down. But, the colours don't really give the sense of night. And I do not find the subject or composition interesting.
I think (if there was enough room for you to get the whole cross in the frame) a portrait or vertical shot would have worked better. Also, the sky if it was a bit darker would have made you feel more like you are looking at a night scene.
Usually, the sky is something that we see almost every day and it doesn't change much. To make something like the sky interesting with an object like the cross you have used, I think you would need to make it stand out - created some contrast for it to look interesting to the viewer. All the best with future projects.

I like the angle of looking up at the cross, however I would have included more of the base of the cross because this looks more like a plus sign. Maybe a tall comp. and moving (yourself) to the left to get a full shot would work better; not sure I like the roof in the bottom corner. Still a good eye for noticing the 'blood'. I would have missed that.

If the blood is the red reflection on the right, I would have dodge it a little more, focus is ok, I would have cropped out the stucture on the left, even though you had to take out some of the cross.

Focus and DOF seem okay. Color is okay. Subject is weak. Comp is somewhat weak. Title, while possible appropriate to the subject, really doesn't help place the photo in context or improve my understanding of what you're trying to say. Sorry to seem negative. Just my opinion.
