There seems to be a hint of some very nice textures and also colours but unfortunately these weren't presented to advantage. A little more adjustments in saturation or levels might have improved it. Another thing that doesn't help is the lack of a focal point. I'm not exactly sure where my eye is supposed to be drawn to. If all areas were equally sharp, this would not have been a problem but the blur on multiple spots makes it seem like there should be a focus somewhere which is not the case. Hope this helps.

This is sure a furry moth - I'm glad it wasn't in our house, I hate moths. Looking at your picture gave me such a good idea for light on white, Van - I wish I would have thought of it for the challenge! My white (cream color, actually) didn't do that well, your furry moth has made me think of a really cool idea with a white mouse - wish I would have thought of it before.

That's a tough DOF call. The out of focus galls is competing with the background for the point of interest so the viewer gets a little confuzzled

I like the composition and particularly like the red sky, although the magnifying glass and hand, being so out of focus, don't sit too well with the rest of the image.

I felt that it needed focus (as in a primary subject). The color isn't enough to make it really interesting. But the color work is nice.
