Nothing in focus, grainy, unappealing colors, background color does not accent main subject. However, I have no clue what it is, so I feel it meets the challenge.

Ok, it meets the challenge in that I don't have a clue what it is... but the quality of the image is very low. It is too blurry and out of focus, a good macro shot should be sharp and very crisply focused.
