American Toadby saracatComment by tolovemoon: I like this a lot! That toad almost looks like my fake one in my garden...I like all the details here, your macros are the best :) |

Beard of an Irisby saracatComment by tolovemoon: I defanetly like this macro, specially the way the light hits it. The colors in it are dark and deep but not very sharp ( just a little off on the sharpness) I think it fits the challenge too better then my entry anyways. Its neat the way the center of the flower does resemble a triangle, very thought out.. |

American Toadby saracatComment by rex: Man that is a closeup. The shallow DOF works well. Framing is perfect. The sun is a little harsh. Maybe try to take the brightness down a bit if you can. Everything is in good focus and you have lost no detail in the toad. Good job. |

Mussel2.jpgby saracatComment by rex: Nice detail in the sand. The shadows work well here. The only thing I would change is maybe crop a little more off the right. That shell that is cut off needs to go. Maybe even a vertical composition would do this one real good. You have done a good job keeping everything in good focus and the DOF is nice. Good work. |

Mussel2.jpgby saracatComment by Skip: nice find. i think this would make a stronger presentation if you cropped it either square or as a vertical, though. |

crocmonitor1.jpgby saracatComment by dahkota: cool capture. You captured the texture of the skin well. Only improvement I can see may be to crop on the right - the out of focus dark wood is throwing the image off balance in my opinion. Love the way he's looking directly at the camera! |

Beard of an Irisby saracatComment by flip89: Good macro. The compression artefacts (grains) are visible in the dark purple areas though. Too bad because this is just lovely especially if you place your main element off center. |
