Day No. 46by GermaineComment by karmat: that's two in a row of yours I've seen where they are looking at you. Either you are getting worse at hiding, or braver at being seen. :) Nice shot. |

Day No. 45by GermaineComment by karmat: I want one! But, I don't imagine it would do well around here (very hilly and a lot of gravel roads). But good shot. I like the bright yellow colors. |

Zaca Fire 8/16/2007by GermaineComment by SandyP: It is in fact eerie, but beautiful too! It looks like you are down on the ground looking straight up, and the motion is really striking.
The blurred motion version is amazing!!!

Zaca Fire 8/16/2007by GermaineComment by cgino: Wonderful effect! I've seen my share of wildfires, they do make for interesting skies. Happy to hear this particular one is not threatening you! |

Zaca Fire 8/16/2007by GermaineComment by Jutilda: This is a weird thought, but what would it look like if the sun were almost completely gone? Might be fun to try it. Dunno... just talking out loud. I like the perspective and the "up" feel of the trees. |

Zaca Fire 8/16/2007by GermaineComment by MelonMusketeer: Thanks, you have given me an idea with your comment about twirling the zoom. Now I want to try clamping the zoom ring to the tripod and twisting the camera to get a swirl zoom. Be looking for it.
Smoke from big fires do very strange things to the sky. We had a lot of that here in Florida last winter. |
