Still Life with Hatsby GermaineComment by streetpigeon: Two windows in a day! I'm sure a third would throw itself open to reveal deepest secrets of the cosmos. This image is more sprightly than the previous one. That painting of a woman on the lower left coyly looks back at us, sharing the moment. The main aspect of the window is a silvery overspreading of hoarfrost, blocking our view within. It's still a feast for the eyes. |

Through the Glassby GermaineComment by streetpigeon: Painted walls on their own burst with potential, especially for windows and doors. Wonderful window, as one or of six constituent paintings. The luscious colors draw one in. The fairy tale notion of going through the window and into another world is compelling here. |

Through the Glassby GermaineComment by insteps: A Cezanne color palette in those six windowpanes. Almost like looking at a gallery wall. Terrific find and nicely presented. |

Through the Glassby GermaineComment by mariuca: A honey dipped image tying the present with the past. There is a deep and sorrow longing here imbued in the photograph. |

Through the Glassby GermaineComment by Ecce_Signum: WOW! The wall and window frame would be enough goodliness for me but the window adds another dimension. Yes, I can see the chandelier and another window? but the rest of the window could be either a reflection or some magic painting. Lovely colours and composition. |

Through the Glassby GermaineComment by nam: Ohhh, now this one I adore. The subtle interest of the wall - textures, cracks, tonal variations - and the window frame itself set off a reflective collection that I can explore for a very long time. I love it when it's not clear what's inside and what's outside; or maybe this is all outside but if that's the case, what's a chandelier doing hanging out there? For me each pane is a painting and the whole is yet another. I'm not crazy about the upper left one . . . it would be the last I would buy if I were collecting these one by one . . . but I'd be torn on the order of the others. For sure I think I'd get the three on the right first as they are each wonderful and the vertical triptych is very satisfying. |
