It almost has the sense of floating in mid air with nothing holding it up off of the ground. I'm partial to the blue tones.

I'd agree as for a normal kind of photo but narritively I think it gets away with it ... its like finding an old photo, when we were young taken with the only camera I could aford wot I got cheap because the previous owner had dropped it.

Emphasizes the cactus flower very well. I don't mind the false film along the edge here much as it is mostly unobtrusive. I have noticed that when I try to use it myself it often stamps over top of the subject too much- maybe best when the crop isn't tight.
