Checking Inby GermaineComment by stare_at_the_sun: I like the colors here...and the blurred dude on the right. Although I think It would be better if the lights were a little less exposed and maybe try cropping it closer to the guy on the left to reduce all that clutter...just a couple of thoughts.
Nice picture overall though. |

Spanish Forkby GermaineComment by DrAchoo: A 5.5 is certainly not a bad score. I liked this shot and gave it a 6. The composition is nice and the subject is interesting. Perhaps the upper right is a bit bright and distracting, but not bad in my opinion. I worked just a bit in PS to see what I could do and found that it was a little low on contrast. If you up the contrast by +20, I think it looks better. You do have to do it as an adjustment layer and then remove the contrast from the upper right because you blow that section out even more with this setting.
I guess the only knock is ultimately the subject. It does hold some interest, but we grasp it quickly and move on. The winners used forks and spoons in interesting ways to create patters that were "more" than just the utensil themselves. This lacks that and was probably its ultimate limiting factor. |
