A sublime architectural detail photograph that directly addresses the spiritual essence of the building.
And what does it get? Buried under twee stuff that's barely fit to put on a biscuit tin, and comments from people who apparently seriously thought you hadn't noticed the "blown out" highlights.

C'mon, you can't post this with no explanation. This guy's whacky even for CA. It's not a bizarre hang glider (that thing would not fly), so what is it? And is he carrying a surfboard as well as this magnificent plumage? If so, I'd love to see what happens when he's in the water ... do you have another shot of that?
