The feel is quite tranquil but a little flat, maybe sharpen and a bit more cropping. I really like the boats and the one in the middle helps you look to the left also like the extra touch of the pelicans.

Where is this, btw? I'm a SoCal native, relocated to Cape Cod upon retirement, and I'm sure I've seen this before. I'm thinking Santa Barbara?

I like the diffused effect. It works well with the relatively high contrast situation and black/white rendition. The left-to-right movement is nicely symbolic too.

Although the soft focus is pretty, my eyes bounce around searching for a subject. A bit more clarity in just one area would help IMO.
