It fits the challenge, but maybe another angle or vantage point where the gate wasn't such a distraction or the shot wasn't so busy with cars and nearby gas station/shops would have produced a more powerfull image.

Nice work on the subject. This photo really says something. The colors are amazing for such a desolate looking photo. I do think that the sharpness could be improved considerably and possibly a different angle to isolate the central tree.

Fun! I like the wide angle view. I like the shaggy look of the palm. I only wish the composition were tighter--maybe adjusted a bit toward the left--probably could crop a tiny bit off the bottom as well.
