Frozen in the Mudby inspzilComment by FranziskaLang: challenge -- met
composition -- i like how you closely cropped in on the subject
technical -- hard to see what i'm looking at because there's not much tonal/color range and no easily distinguishable borders
overall impression -- this one actually works better in the thumbnail. i'm intrigued by the photo a lot and hope you put some more descriptions with it that i can read on monday. however, as a photo, i wish it was a little more obvious what i'm looking at. i have no idea if that was possible or not. |

Blue Streakby inspzilComment by andrewm: I am sorry this didn't do better--to me it is the image of a child that age--all that energy--great shot! |

Frozen in the Mudby inspzilComment by Wes: Just no point of interest in this shot. It's very grey as well... no great texture... Nothing in this shot seems to be clear... |

Blue Streakby inspzilComment by stephan: I like your photo. Maybe some people will complain that there is nothing in focus but actually that what I like ;-) There is enough detail to see that it's a kid running around and just like kids are everything is a bit wild and chaotic. I think this works good here. It was probably coincidence but I like that the child was right before the black part of the background when you shot the photo. This gives a good contrast between subject and background. The photo wouldn't look so good otherwise because then the child would have merged with the background. -stephan |

Minor Sunrise in a Major Keyby inspzilComment by autool: We all like a sunrise and yours is a good one. I don\'t think it is outstanding though, and this is a question we must ask ourselves when taking their picture. The sun is blown out, and iI realize you had to expose long enough to get the wonderful tree. Maybe some sort of filter might have helped. Good luck in the future. |

Minor Sunrise in a Major Keyby inspzilComment by lisae: This is a beautiful, serene photo, but I think it could have done with a bit of post-processing work on the colours and levels. The area of sky at the top is a dirty brown colour (at least on my monitor), which could have been altered slightly to bring out the reds and oranges in the sunrise better. I like the silhouette of the trees and the very subtle details I can see of the landscape. The wispy clouds around the sun are gorgeous. Overall, nice work.
Updated to say: This is what I got when I tried out the suggestions I made: //lisa3d.org/images/photos/dpc/sunrise2.jpg |
