Literally. Nicely done bird-in-nature shot, maybe a little less contrast to reveal more detail in the bird would have been nice but from the grain I'm guessing it was a pretty high ISO shot - always takes a toll on dynamic range.

I think this could have been improved with a cleaner surface to set the rubber bands on. I would also have used a smaller aperture for a bit more depth of field, to include the closest part of the first bundle. This looks like a controlled environment, so there's no reason not to have the camera on a tripod of some sort and use the lowest light-gathering settings and control the light level.

I feel like this could have been improved by cropping out some of the out-of-focus foreground, also I don't get the black-and-white when pencils usually have iconic colors. Selective coloring to remove the color from everything but the pencils might have been worth the effort.
