Thanks for your comment. This picture won second place in the contest. (I also won first place with the Odyssey image. The judges could not tell who did the shots. I think they were embarrassed to have given the two top prizes to the same person.)

The shadows are a natural result of the panorama process. Think of it this way. I'm standing with my back to the sun. I start by pointing the camera to my left. The shadows in the image go to the right. Then I take a series of shots turning towards the right for each one. By the time I get to last image, I'm looking to the right and the shadows naturally fall to the left.

I'm convinced that the panorama is the best way to capture the essence of this particular sculpture. I was really in the middle of the sculpture. The view I got is very different from what you would get by backing up and taking a long view.

I gave this a 6. For me, any score higher than a 6 is highly subjective. It would just need some oomph to get it there. Maybe if the paintings in the window blended into reflections, seemed more like ghosts. Maybe a more disorienting angle and/or crop.

This is a really cool shot. The colours are great and so is the idea. I do have a prblem with the crop. Could have been cropped differently. A tighter sqaure crop perhaps? good work though

Interesting job on the stitching but I notice the rock shadows are not all going in the same direction. Did you mirror some of the shots to stitch them? Good colour intensity and nice clarity on the rocks.

I think some might give you a hard time because of the dark, scraggly clouds being reflected, but I think it's a wonderful effect. It reminds me of when someone layers a texture over a photograph. It's also an effective composition, with the land masses jutting in to create an interesting water shape.
