Its a nicely composted, well photographered, shape image. I do agree with awpollard, that a little DOF experimentation might have made it a little more interesting.

Personally, i like to see a little bit of the photographer in the image - a personal touch of sorts. It might have been nice (i'm not sure, it might have been too busy also) to have some plans or such that you would use such a ruler to create in the background instead of a plain black backdrop. I personally do not know what the exact application of such a ruler is for (i did find myself thinking how can you draw a straight line with the slider there it would make your line lumpy -because thats all i use rulers for) so for someone who is ignorant to such a rulers function, it might have mean more of a oh...OHH! image if you had left us a sneaky clue in the background.
Just an idea, like i said, it might also have been too much.

Oh and thankyou for lining up all the lines so nicely in the fram, my virgo eyes really appriciate it :D

WOW, yes I actually use that. I can not believe how sharp this photo is, still staring at it in disbelief and the colors are just so vivid. I'll be going back to get more info on how this was done (Camera settings that is) because I've tried and just can't seem to get these buggers to sit still. This photo deserves a 10 without a question!
