interesting shot. i think the front of the boots would have been a little more interesting. I like the fact that you can see the uniform!

Thank you for all your comments.. believe it or not this was not shot thru glass and there was nothing over the lens.. however, I guess the sun was a bit of a give away.. it wasn't raining.. it was the spray from the boat that gave the illusion of rain.. I knew some of you would pick up on the cropping as well.. I tried to get the whole boat however we were going quite fast and it was very bumpy so pretty hard to hold the camera steady enough to be able to center the boat.. thanks again.

cool digital-looking camo. try different angles! the textures in this photo are nice, but it feels too centered. Would be a great catalog photo.

This is a good shot. I wonder what it would look like if you flipped it horizontally and cropped it closer to the ship (making it more off center).

Comment by jshays:
The out of focus droplets in the foreground are too distracting, gives the whole image an out of focus feel. I think the cropping could have also been reworked to include the entire ship. Lighting of the water in contrast with the dark mountains and sky in the background is interesting.

Ok, to be really picky, I think "high seas" implies being out of sight of land.

But it's a good idea and nice photo regardless -- I thik it's good that the land is there : )

I like the photo of the ketch (or is it a yawl?) Well composed, colored, contrasted, et. al. It would appear that it was shot through glass that had been "sprinkled." The bright and obviously sunny water seems unrealistically at odds with the "rain."
