Cornerby mykolearyComment by superdne: I like the lines, the corner; it's a bit grainy though; good that you've shot this at an angle, otherwise it might hurt my eyes. |

Needle in a haystack by mykolearyComment by mykoleary: Exact middle of the picture. For this I didn't focus and recompose with prior focus locked. All I changed was exposure settings to get good lighting. The contrast of the metal of the Space Needle seems to make it a really good subject for both day and night shooting. I got a couple more angles the other day during light hours, and they came out fairly similiar in sharpness. |

Needle in a haystack by mykolearyComment by mykoleary: Remember, depth of field is a ratio of the distance you are from the object vs the depth provided. This ratio changes at different mm equivalent ratios. I'm not sure if it goes up or down, but this was at maximum telephoto (~105 mm equivalent.) The fStop came from the EXIF data in ACDSee. |

Needle in a haystack by mykolearyComment by Mousie: I don't think irae's referring to the actual size of the aperture, but the amazing depth of field captured at that setting. It looks more like f8 or smaller to me! |
