Day with the Family.jpgby Rachel34Comment by smilebig4me1x: returning a comment...sorry it took me so long
this is a lovely photo...but i think you couldve cropped the right side off to the goose and left a bit more room on the left so the geese would have room to roam. great colors and focus. |

Weathered By The Stormsby Rachel34Comment by ShutterPug: ** Greetings from the Critique Club **
The subject itself is not highly interesting. When shooting a still object that does not have an excitement about it, correct exposure and post-processing is a must. The highlights in this image are blown out. Preferrably, the exposure would be corrected before the shot, but when it happens after the fact, you need to use the burn tool to attempt to remedy the problem areas. Another possibility would have been to convert the image to a sepia tone or B&W. The nail could have been used to your advantage by extra fill light or by post-process dodging.

Backyard Beauty.jpgby Rachel34Comment by undieyatch: Impressive..... I love the full-frame version..... composition with inclusion & placement of your subject in the environment for me has more information about setting & light, I like the "air" around it. Minimizes, but does not eliminate the scientific "specimen" type of image that the tight crop has. |
