its a great idea and I like the reflection. Hpwever, the leading lines get lost in the lighting that makes the photo very busy.

Good focus. I like how the tape is unraveled.

this looks too staged. What is he looking at? He doesn't have a drink yet, either, and it actually took me a moment to pick out the shape of the black bottle advertisement to figure out where he was in the first place.

I think that the reflection is well captured, although I feel that the subject could do with being a bit brighter.

I really like this image. First off, it fits the challenge well IMO. To some it may appear to be on the verge of being too 'busy', but I think in your pov, it makes it work for me. It's interesting that, with all that's going on, and the lack of symmetry so to speak, the photo still has a very balanced 'feel' to me, perhaps it's the reflections, and the centered vanishing point, along with the way you've framed it, with the man and the opposite licquor shelves both cut off. The expression on the man is perfect, is this posed or a candid? Either way, very nice, even without your title, I see the story clearly, and am drawn into the image. Great job.

Fit to challenge criteria: 1/2 - the tape on top makes it appear to be broken althoug I don't feel "obsolete" from this picture. maybe if the tape was torn or had that crumpled or stretched look they get after they've been stuck in the player and pulled out.
Contrast/Colors: 1/2 - I wonder if B&W would have helped?
Photo Quality: 1/2 - I would have liked more of the frame in focus.
Composition: 1/2 - nice try looping the tape on top.
My subjective affinity: 0/2
Score: 4

A unique image that certainly fits the challenge but seems to lack some punch, I realize the object itself is probably dark but I wonder if a little more light would help it. I like the placement within the picture.

Good luck

I don't think the title does the picture any justice.
