I think that this would have been a better picture with more cropped away from the sides.

Nicely done. I like the selective desaturation and blue. I think that seeing the writing on the headstone would be more meaningful, not only for this challenge, but also for the family of the person buried here. I'm thinking...get closer by sitting in front of the stone and angle up, keeping the focus on the words.

I like the single coloration and focus (I did a similar photo myself). Maybe crop out some of the surrounding area- it would still be effective and a touch more emotive in my book.

This is a very good portrait, it really conveys how happy he is. The tight crop on the face helps to strengthen the emotion.

I like B&W very much, and this is very well done with good D-Max and D-Min. The tonal range however is a little shallow. Just a tad more contrast in the flesh tones would add just the snap needed. Having said that, I donĂ¢€™t think the lack of contrast is that distracting from the impact of the image. A critique of any work of art is open for debate.

This is a very well done image. Keep up the good work and I hope to see more of your work in the future.

The background is a little busier than I care for. A shallower DOF would have reduced this problem.

Not very sharp... did this have a run in USM? Some strange textures in the hair, not sure what caused this. His right eye needs a catchlight and although the smile is nice, I'd have tried a few more shots to get a slightly better expression in his eyes.
