Great shot but for me, the selective desat takes it from powerful to a more...cheesy...feeling, for lack of a better word. Gimmicky maybe. I'm sure the majority of the voters will dig it, though. :)

Brilliant. Doesn't quite fill the frame but good enough to meet the challenge. I'm wondering if this is selective desat or not. Either way it's wonderful.

I like the sun/shade contrast. I also like the tilt on this - it makes the image more interesting. The bg looks unnatural though... (too much blur?)
