Not a bad take on the challenge. It looks like you have some optic flare from the candle just above the cross which is distracting. Otherwise lighting is good.

Generally I have a rule...when an idea is repeated in a challenge, such as your idea of "genesis", I automatically take off at least on point from the score I give. This time is the exception.
