Time a-Round the Worldby PhantomEWOComment by GrayGhost: Interesting idea, sharpness, DOF, and composition. The title prompts a closer look, only to discover that 4:45 clashes with the other watches and the chart - not a problem, I like it regardless. |

Time a-Round the Worldby PhantomEWOComment by basicentry: My 10 for this challenge. I don't vote by "wow factor". Every body starts with a 5. I then deduct for out of focus, incorrect exposure, and distractions. I give a point each for presentation, creativity, lighting, and detail. I think this shot has all those good qualities. Good job. |

Time a-Round the Worldby PhantomEWOComment by rachelellen: This is clever, not your run-of-the-mill circles shot. (Is there a time zone that's fifteen minutes off from the rest? I know there are some on the half-hour...). Light and colors are good here -- I like the muted gray, black, and white with the metal watches. |

Time a-Round the Worldby PhantomEWOComment by CNovack: I like how you got the title to relate to the shapes most present in the composition - very clever. Now onto the composition. I like the presentation of the idea - very strong in set-up and composition. Lighting of the subjects is very good and details are crisp. One observation that may strengthen the connection of the watches to the circular time clocks seen on the chart would have been to sinc up the times to match what is seen. The gold watch reading 1 o'clock matches one of the clocks seen on the chart. The gold watch reading a quarter to five and the other reading 3 o'clock are not visible on that time chart below. |

Time a-Round the Worldby PhantomEWOComment by Germaine: This is a really interesting picture, but to my eye the shapes of the watches aren't the most interesting aspect of the picture. The map is very interesting, too, and my eye goes more to the faces of the watches, not their shapes. It's a good picture, but IMHO, not for a shapes challenge. |
