okay, so you might get shot if you jumped over the fence, but still, the fence is a major distraction and totally detroys your shot. it does add to the militaristic sense indicated by the wording of your title, creating a boundary between the civilian world and that of the armed forces, but it obscures our view too much. composition is everything in a picture, it really is - 3.

Nice plane, but the chainlink fence adds nothing here, especially with it out of focus. If it had to be included, putting it in focus and letting the plane go slightly soft might have been a better compromise.

I think that the fence takes a lot away from this image and I think that if you would have blured the fence more it would have been better. It is just to eye distracting.

Really could have done without the fence, may be a better angle as well. Would have been much more interesting showing the plane from the end of the runway coming in for a landing or even showing it touching down. Hope this helps some.

You gotta love those 17's! Especially when they are giving you a ride home! I had the opportunity to sit in the cockpit behind the pilot as I flew from Baghdad to Qatar. When they told me to strap in and began the approach into Al Udied Air Base a big grin came over my face. It was an awesome experience to sit up there while we landed. They gave me a headset so I could listen to the conversation between the plane and ait traffic control. It was awesome!

You have done a great job of capturing it, especially through a fence.
