This is actually a 100% crop from the original, taken with a D50 and 80-200 AF-D. Had to crop it as 200(300mm eqv) is not at all sufficient for a fairly sized moon.
I was surprised to see that a 100% crop was this clear although it not very sharp as you have commented.

I want the bird to be bigger so I can properly see those claws. After all, that's the only thing "deadly" about the image. I assume that the title is somebody's name? Is it a person's name or the bird's name? I know that some mystery is good for creating an urgency to solve the mystery, but too much mystery and the viewer never gets drawn in.
